[Boxing- Italy] 18.11/ 20:00 A.Prestot- M.Signani

I have been thinking for a long time about another interesting fight that awaits us tonight. There will be a rematch between Anderson Prestot and Mateo Signani for the EBU belt. The first thought seems obvious - the Frenchman should win it without major problems, in June this year Prestot took the belt, winning by technical decision after the 5th round, winning all rounds on the scorecards. But the circumstances there are at least strange - because the fight was stopped due to Prestot's injury and Signani believes he was cheated because in the 4th round the doctor intervened but the fight continued and as there was a risk that Prestot began to look more and more unfit, the fight was controversially ended. What is the truth is hard to judge, but the more absurd is that the immediate rematch was ordered by the EBU due to the confusion with doping tests that did not take place before the first fight. Maybe I'm wishful thinking but for me the key here is obvious: the first fight took place in France, and the rematch is in Italy where Matteo's promoter group put out a lot of money to make this rematch happen, which gives the Italian a significant handicap that he will fight in his hometown, and how we know the walls favor the hosts - especially since Signani is a local legend. Of course, Signani has his years, after all, he's already a 43-year-old veteran, but Prestot doesn't look like anyone outstanding, although he only lost to really solid compatriots, but he never fought outside France, and he doesn't box too often. That's why in my opinion it all evens out and the odds are based only on the strange first fight - I see a lot of value in Matteo's win, probably on points.
