[Football- England 'Premier League'] 12.11/ 18:30 Newcastle- Chelsea
It's Saturday. It's Premier League. It's Newcastle! Newcastle is the dark horse of the Premier League. That's our cash cow, fam! Newcastle is undefeated for 9 games and in the top 3 of the Premier League standings. Newcastle lost only 1 game all season. They've the best defense in the league by giving up less than 1 goal on average. And they’re have also the third best offense in Premier League!
Last weekend, Newcastle destroyed Southampton 4-1. A week before that, they blew out Aston Villa 4-0. Aston Villa didn't even get a shot on goal. They crushed Champions League team Tottenham Hotspurs and got a well deserved 2-1 W on the road in London. Newcastle also smashed Brentford 5-1 and Fulham 4-1. Newcastle totally dominated Everton. Everton hadn't have a single shot on goal. Newcastle got a draw and netted 3 times against Man City. Newcastle put up a great fight against heavyweight Liverpool! Newcastle created enough big chances against Wolverhampton, Bournemouth and Nottingham for blowout wins. This team is no joke! They got big quality and they have high aspirations! They built new training facilities, recruited more staff and invested over 200m in new players. Newcastle it is, fam! They're flying high as one of the best performing teams in Premier league and they're feared by opponents for their high-intensity attacking soccer.
Chelsea longs for the World Cup break. They're tired! They're coming off a stretch of tough games. Just 10 days ago, an intense Champions League game, where they put a lot of energy in to come back after being down early. Last weekend, they faced Premier League leader Arsenal in a fierce fight for points. Just a couple of days ago, they squared off against Manchester City in a cup game. Actually, Chelsea intended to rest their players against Man City. But due to their defensive injury issues, they needed to play most of their regular defenders in that cup game. Defensive players Chillwell, Chukwuemeka, Fofana, James, Kante are (still) on the injury report. First-choice goalkeeper Kepa is ruled out and he'll be replaced by Mendy. Normally a good one, but he's still looking a bit shaky and rusty after being injured for a while and downgraded to the second-choice goalkeeper. He couldn't kept a clean sheet in all of the 4 games, where he replaced Kepa. Additionally, midfield key player Jorginho is questionable for today. Newcastle's high-intensity attacking tactic gonna be a tough challenge for Chelsea's tired and injury shaken defense.
