[Football- Europa League] 27.10/ 21:00 Freiburg- Olympiacos
I was very tempted by the Freiburg to win to nil but still felt a bit scarred by our Union Berlin pick from this weekend, so I decided to go with the above as I feel it is a safer variant (inb4 a 1-0 Freiburg win).
Freiburg have been nothing short of great this year, both in the Bundesliga where they sit 3rd, as well as in their EL group where they are the clear #1. They have won all 4 of their EL games, scoring 11 goals and only conceding once against current #2 Qarabag. They also need this win to guarantee they will advance as the #1s as they will be out of reach for Qarabag whom they will play in the last game. They also already managed to beat Olympiacos 3-0 in their earlier away game.
Olympiacos on the other hand are just very very mediocre especially for European standards and if anything they miss offensive prowess. They sit last in the group having only gained 1 point by managing an incredibly boring draw against Qarabag and scored their only goal in defeat to Nantes who are the clear #3 in this group. Conceding 8 times in the process.
Freiburg simply are the better team here and I believe they can manage this bet on their own, but all it takes is some ridiculous shot or a defensive mistake for Olympiacos to get on the board. Also if Freiburg don't get a goal in in the first half don't worry. They have scored 10 of their last 12 goals in the second half, however in an ideal world we see them score at least 1 in the first half to keep it nice and stressfree.
