Chapman is a 3-0 prospect with two ko’s, this is a huge step up from what she has been fighting and Guanini is known for causing prospects problems. Chapman looks very well rounded though for someone just starting up and looks to have all the tools to become a world champion. Guanini recently beat another British prospect in Stevi Levy but it’s quite clear Chapman is a much better fighter than Levy. Guanini fights aggressive and starts her attack through hooks rather than a jab. Her shot selection does become quite repetitive though and I feel a fighter the calibre of Chapman will catch on to this. Chapman’s sharp footwork should also play a factor in getting her work done and then out the way of Guanini’s hooks. The Brit is also naturally quite a bit bigger, which does make me slightly nervous in terms of power but Guanini has never been stopped and never been dropped so she should be good to survive 8 rounds.

This is a good step up for Chapman but I think she’ll pass this test with flying colours and win a wide decision on the cards.
