Marterer has done this at the last US open and Australian open. He passed the quals. breezing through and came to Fritz and Johnson and lost. Fritz 3-0 which I think is the case today and he took a set from Johnson but Cilic and Johnson can't be compared. He is mostly a clay player, I won't say specialist but close to that and I think this surface won't suit him and Cilic's shot power will simply be too much.

Cilic on the other hand I think has been waiting for this tournament. Played Montreal and Cincinnati to get used to the surface, obviously won't have a problem with the speed of the court as he has won this tournament before and I believe he will outplay Marterer in every segment of the gamne.

I won't write he will surely win because after yesterday idk what to expect but I found the most value in this today and I don't see him dropping a set.
