Today we got Benfica squaring off against Midtjylland in UECL qualifiers. In their last 5 games, Benfica has gone over 2.5 in 4/5 and scored at least 2 in all 5. Beating Newcastle 3-2, Fulham 5-1, and Nice 3-0. They have been on fire lately on offense, however, to add to it their defense has looked average. Newcastle managed to score 2 on them, and Girona managed to score 2 on them as well.
Midtjylland on the other hand has not kept a clean sheet in 8 matches. Allowing average and subpar offensive teams score at least one on them who aren’t as offensively talented as Benfica, while also scoring at least one in their last 5/5 games.
Both of these facts together boost my confidence that this will easily go over 2.5 goals and that both teams will come out of the gates firing for goal.
