Obviously, they were turned down. Wydad are the more popular team in Casablanca and one of the better supported teams in Morocco, so playing in Casablanca is a huge difference maker. Al Ahly though are no strangers to big occasions. They have won the last two finals, one being in Cairo at home (funny how they didn't complain there...) and one at this exact stadium last year. Al Ahly have the most Champions League Trophies at 10. Wayad have been beaten before by Al Ahly in the finals a few years back when it was a two-legged tie, but they are determined to get revenge and win it at home. Sherif is looking to become this season's top scorer, but I believe Waydad's tight defence and strong counter will be too much at the end for Al Ahly.
