Marseille are in absolute shambles. AVB has been suspended after offering his resignation for various reasons, the most recent one being the signing of Ntcham who he had nothing to do with and found out through the media. Fans turning up to riot at the training ground over the weekend led to a postponement of their fixture against Rennes.
They have lost their last 4 games, 1 of them being in the reverse fixture against Lens when they played at home losing 1-0, and only have 1 win in their last 9 fixtures. They have 4 first team players out suspended, Amavi injured, and starlet Sanson recently sold to Aston Villa without properly replacing him while Payet is not the player he used to be.
Lens sit just above them in the table with a pretty up and down recent form but picking up a solid win over Montpellier over the weekend. Am banking on the atrocities going on at Marseille at the moment, with their sporting director taking over this game, I can’t see them getting a win anytime soon.
