We're back today with another Liga MX pick, and today we have 2 very interesting teams.
Toluca in one hand is coming off one their most devastating losses in the Concacaf tournament, where they were up 2-0 in the first 10 min of the game, just to lose in the end 2-3 at home vs Herediano (a team from Costa Rica) and be eliminated from this international competition. Things ended badly, fans were booing and throwing stuff to the players at the end of the game, and this was just last Wednesday, so I don't see how they can rebound mentally in such a short period of time. In Liga Mx they're in the 9th place, having lost only to the Chivas and scoring 16 goals in 6 games, they're the best offense in the league.
Monterrey also played midweek in the Concacaf tournament, they dominated their match by winning 3-0, and in the Liga Mx they're located in the 3rd place, with a chance to go to the first place with a win today. They haven't lost yet in this season, having a record of 4-2-0, at home they're 3-1-0, and they have faced some pretty tough teams, last week they dominated Pachuca going up 3-0 in the first 51 min of the game, and one week prior they tied with America 1-1 on the road with 10 players, that shows you the level this team has.
I was debating between MTY ML or BTTS, but I just don't want to put my trust on Toluca scoring in this one, yes they're the best offense in the league, they have hit BTTS line in every game this season, but Wednesday was really tough for them, and Monterrey is just a dominant and consistent team, they're the 3rd best defense allowing just 5 goals, and player by player they're better than Toluca.
