I’ve used this bet a couple of times before as a potd with Makhmudov and every time it’s worked out. I expect this to carry on the streak. For whatever reason they’re putting another complete bum in front of him, as if he’s not had enough easy fights already. Makhmudov does the same thing every time. He’ll go all out swinging for a ko from the first sound of the bell. He does have good power and he’s a huge unit standing at 6’5ft and weighing 260 pounds. He has 16 ko’s in his 17 fights and 13 of those came in the first 2 rounds. His opponent, poor old Junior Anthony Wright is a 37 year old former cruiserweight who has been ko’d 3 times in his 4 losses. He’s been very inactive and was ko’d in the second round by an awful journeyman named Joe Jones, 2 years ago. Wright is cumbersome and stands absolutely no chance in there.

Makhmudov should not be fighting this level of opponent now but his fights are fairly easy to read when he’s fighting such low level opposition. Hopefully that doesn’t come back to bite me on the arse but I expect the ‘Lion’ to blitz through Wright in the first two rounds.
