[Boxing- USA] 28.11/ 23:00 Edward Vasquez- Irvin Gonzalez
We have a very high value in the undercard of this gala - where it is worth emphasizing that such a gala is an exhibition window for players and Irvin Gonzalez will get the chance to show himself to a wider audience, who will face Edward Vasquez. I do not completely understand this favoring of Irvin, the fact that a few years ago he had the opinion of a promising boxer but was quickly verified. He was knocked out by Elijah Pierc in the 3rd round where Pierc previously threw him on the boards a couple of times and then it was a big surprise because Elijak was quite an underdog. Then Gonzalez lost unanimously (to one goal, the judges awarded him 1 out of 10) with the solid Toka Kahn Clary, which is short - when he fought someone more specific than the booms that he has a lot in the record, he had nothing to say. Gonzalez's strengths are really great physical conditions for this weight class, but from what I saw, he is not too fast and his defense has a hole, which was confirmed by the fight with Pierce. Edward Vasquez, on the other hand, has a balance of 8-0, but has not been verified by someone more specific and the odds for today's fight are based on Vasquez's last fight - he fought in September this year with Adan Ochoa (quite a good boxer, the balance was 11-1 before this fight) ) and won minimally on points but he was counted in the fight, but this counting did not matter much because he quickly recovered, it was more a matter of slipping than falling after a blow. But I liked Vasquez in this fight, he is a very technical boxer, the fact that he has no strength in his hands (barely 1 win ahead of time in 8 fights) but fast, going off the line of punch and hitting combinations and, above all, with a solid defense. I am not a fan of low weight classes and scoring them in potentially equal fights is an individual approach of the judges (often favoring someone) but I think Vasquez is a really good boxer and has advantages to calm Gonzalez and we have a distance of 8 rounds here.
