Real Madrid have confirmed CL and although they'd like to keep their chances for a good pot, I expect them to still make some tactical changes in the lineups that could allow for Rayo to get on the scoresheet.
Real Madrid have been strong at home in La Liga, winning 12 out of 17 matches. In addition, BTTS has landed in 11 out of 17 matches. Both the W and BTTS have landed in 7 out of 17 home matches.
Rayo Vallecano has struggled away, only winning 4 out of 17 matches and drawing 5 out of 17 matches. BTTS has landed in 9 out of 17 matches. Both the L and BTTS have landed in 5 out of 17 away matches.
Given that Real Madrid still need the win, I expect them to win this but with an asterisk attached. Rotation will mean a leaky defense and Rayo Vallecano has seen BTTS land in 9 out of their last 10 matches (both home and away in La Liga). However, Real Madrid has only seen BTTS land in 4 out of their last 10 matches (both home and away in La Liga).
In summary, the odds for this seem too good. Feels more like a 50-50 but with such good odds, I'm going for it. Safer plays could just be ML or BTTS but it's no fun playing it safe.
