Stefanos Tsitsipas is the clear favorite here and that's completely expected as the Greek has one of the best serves and forehands on the ATP tour. He started 2023 quite well with some solid wins in the United Cup but he had to fight for most of them, dropping sets to Berrettini, Dimitrov and Coric. Tsitsipas was the player with most wins in 2022 even if the past year felt a bit off for him overall. Stefanos really needs to win a Slam during his peak to be able to give the next step on his career after many deep runs. Here in the Australian Open he has reached the semifinals in 3 out of the last 4 years.

Quentin Halys shows up here in good form with some confidence too. The big server started off 2023 with some solid wins here in the Australian tournaments and we all remember that amazing match against Djokovic in Adelaide. There's no denial that Tsitsipas is much more complete than Halys but his amazing serve and poweful groundstrokes can keep the Greek in check especially if he focus on targetting them to Stefanos backhand which is still a weakness on the return.

Halys Handicap +2.5 Sets is currently playing 10 ticks less than the Over 3.5 sets and I'm certain that we won't see any underdog 3-0 upset here so I like to take the better price of course. I can see Tsitsipas winning this in 4 sets or more but I think Halys will be able to pull off a set especially if we go into tiebreaks.
