We're back to the Danish Superliga here. You might be looking at the table and think I'm crazy for taking this bet, but I' not. Silkeborg is a team in euphoria, they're playing insane football and everyone's acknowledging it.
Motivation wise: FC Copenhagen NEEDS to win this to have a chance at the title. But why bet on Silkeborg? Here's the deal: Silkeborg doesn't do well against teams that just sit back and park the bus and don't wanna tango. Against teams that pressure up high and are forced to come at them, they're like watching prima tikitaka Barca.
Jess Thorup, FC Copenhagen manager, is in my opinion bland in terms of tactics. They've got no concept. For this match, he's said that they're gonna "shoot their chest forward" and go out blasting. That's exactly the type of style Silkeborg excels against. When they get the chance to control the pace and hit counter attacks on high defending lines, they're gonna score at least two goals if you ask me.
FC Copenhagen just hasn't impressed me as of late. Offensively, they're pretty watered down despite big names, and they rely on individual effort rather than team play.
Pitch is a bit of a concern of mine. It's pure shit. FC Copenhagen says they fixed it now, but I wonder if they just spray canned green stuff on there. We'll see. Both teams likes to play low on the ground, so affects equally.
We're backing momentum and collective efforts here. Plenty of coaches in the league have said that if this season was 5 matches longer, Silkeborg would probably snatch gold. FC Copenhagen is a textbook fade, whereas Silkeborg is a textbook tail. I'll do so until they prove me wrong.
