Cruiserweight clash on the undercard of Usyk AJ. Jack is a veteran at this stage of his career, with him now being at the age of 38. At one point in his career he was a top p4p fighter and racked up some good wins, whilst also being in some highly memorable fights. Jack is fighting Richard ‘Popeye the Sailor Man’ Rivera. He’s 31 and is 21-0 but has fought absolute puddings his entire career. In his last fight he fought a fighter who was 40-28-1. This fight just screams to me ‘let’s try make Jack look good by letting him beat an unbeaten fighter.’

Jack fought his career at light heavyweight but his past two fights have been at cruiserweight in which he won both by early ko. Rivera has been much the same, fighting in between cruiser and light heavyweight. Whilst it’s quite easy to just look at records to judge how bad a fighter may be, watching Rivera there really isn’t much to be impressed about. He has quite slow hands and gets carried away keeping his hands low when on the backfoot.

Even though at this point Jack is past his prime he should be the much better quality fighter and no matter how much spinach Popeye has ate I’m still expecting him to get obliterated in there.
