[Tennis- WTA Australian Open] 20.1/ 6:00 J. Ostapenko- V. Azarenka
We have a 3rd round Australian Open singles match between Victoria Azarenka and Jelena Ostapenko. They played each other 2 weeks ago in Brisbane, where Azarenka won in 3 sets (6-3, 3-6, 7-5) [30 games]. This is Ostapenko’s only loss this year (She won the title in Adelaide).
Both of Azarenka’s AO singles matches have gone to 3 sets, while 1 of the 2 Ostapenko singles matches have gone to 3 sets. Ostapenko is the higher ranked player at #10 to Azarenka’s #22. Azarenka at her best is unbeatable, but she’s 34 now and prone to making unforced errors.
I think Ostapenko will want to get revenge for the Brisbane match, and we will get a tight 3-setter.
