[Football- England 'Premier League'] 8.10/ 15:00 Brighton- Liverpool

Last bet is a push, tough to take but when you have players like Bissouma getting sent off for a Falon d’Flor level dive and Richarlison who can’t hit the target from 1 foot out that’s what happens. At least Tottenham get the W and we don’t lose any money.

Going a bit higher risk today, this is definitely a riskier pick than most of my previous ones but for the juice I do like this line. I feel that given the forms of the two teams Liverpool should be able to get the best of Brighton here. Liverpool are coming off the back of a 2-1 loss against Tottenham, which is seriously being considered one of the biggest disgraces in modern Premier League history considering how the referees absolutely screwed Liverpool over with a clear goal not given by VAR after a miscommunication between refs.

Liverpool are going to come into this match absolutely fired up from the start, they have a point to prove and already they boast a pretty terrifying lineup. They’ll be putting the press on from the start and Brighton haven’t exactly been sound defensively. They sit 4th in the league winning 5, drawing their 1st game of the season and losing this past weekend to Spurs, which again, was almost a write-off for them considering the circumstances. As much as people talk about how bad Liverpool’s defense is, they haven’t conceded more than a goal in any game except against Spurs where they ended up playing with 9 players. I also think they look much more solid defensively than they did in the early games of the season, with Konate and VVD both finding form, even Trent Alexander-Arnold has seemed to tighten up defensively. New signing Szoboszlai is already one of best midfielders in the league, and their front 3 are clicking. They also have an amazing bench, although they will miss Gakpo for this match.

I really like Brighton and I think their manager is just fantastic. However they have hit a real rough patch of form recently, although they sit in 6th in the league but just recently drew against Marseilles, and before that they lost 6-1 to Aston Villa and got knocked out of the EFL Cup by Chelsea the game before, losing 1-0. They are in a bit of a slump, but they’re still a good team, however my main concern is that they just cannot keep a clean sheet, they’ve conceded 14 goals which is more than any team not in the bottom four. Against Liverpool, you cannot afford to have a leaky defense. Brighton’s seven league games have had 33 goals so I’m expecting a high scoring game, but I do think Liverpool will tighten up their defense and seriously punish Brighton at the back, and don’t expect Brighton to magically fix their issues with conceding goals. Brighton also had to play a lot of starters against Marseilles to eke out a 2-2 draw, so they won’t exactly have fresh legs here. For Liverpool, players like VVD, Salah, Endo, Nunez, and Diaz played no more than 45 mins, which is key as fatigue always plays a part.
