[Football- England 'Championship'] 25.8/ 20:30 Hull- Bristol City
Hull had a pretty good start to the season (six points from three games). In the summer transfer window, the "Tigers" acquired some interesting players, such as strikers Aaron Connolly (from Brighton) and Liam Delap (from Manchester City), attacking midfielder Scott Twine (from Burnley), or defensive midfielder Xavier Simons (from Chelsea ). At the same time, they managed to retain their biggest stars such as Turkish central midfielder Ozan Tufan, Colombian striker Oscar Estupinan, central defender Alfie Jones and experienced goalie Matt Ingram. After a slight away defeat against Norwich 1:2 (goal conceded in the 96th minute of the game!), Aaron Connelly and Ozan Tufan led the "Tigers" to two wins in a row at the inauguration of the season (home Sheffield Wed. 4:2 and away Blackburn 2:1) . In fact, a slight victory in the last match against Blackburn was not particularly convincing considering that Hull played with one more player on the pitch for most of the match. But winners are not judged!
Bristol City after three rounds are tied (1-1-1) and you could say that this is in line with expectations. Nigel Pearson's charges will be fighting for the middle of the table this season. Today, however, it may be difficult to score points, as Nigel Pearson has staffing problems. Key centre-back Robert Dickie is sidelined for cards while creative Austrian winger Andreas Weimann, Scottish striker Tommy Conway and important centre-back Rob Atkinson are being treated for injuries.
Home coach Liam Rosenior has a very interesting team at his disposal this season. The away victory of the "Tigers" from Blackburn caused a storm of positive moods at the MKM Stadium and today the "orange and black" can count on solid support from the stands. And if Tufan will have a "good day", it's a chance to continue the winning streak as possible.
