[Football- Friendlies] 14.7/ 19:30 Austria Wien- Galatasaray

Both teams have already started preparations for the new season, playing, among others, control matches. Austria W. played 3 friendly matches with teams from their own backyard, playing on a daily basis in lower divisions, winning all of them very confidently. The Turkish team has played 2 matches so far, but the opponents were foreign teams presenting a much higher level than the mentioned rivals of Austria W. At the inauguration, Galata clashed with the representative of the English Championship - Hull, losing 3:4, although the match had an unusual course. Up to 45 minutes the Turkish team was leading 3:0, but after the break both coaches replaced the entire eleven, which turned out better for the English team, which eventually won. In the second match, Galata defeated the representative of the Hungarian league Kisvarda 2:0. Here the composition was already more stable.

Today's rivals start their league season differently. Already on 30.07 the Austrian league starts, while the Turks start the struggle exactly in a month, because on 13.08. Therefore, both teams are at different stages of preparation. Closer to the Austria W. league, so theoretically, the starting line-up should be more or less formed, the training loads are probably different. Perhaps the guardian of the Austrians will no longer rotate the composition too much in the sense of changing the entire starting eleven.
I also don't think that there will be a revolution in the composition of the Turkish team during a meeting like it happened in the skirmish against Hull.
Looking at the staff of both teams, there is no comparison between one and the other. Galata confidently won the Turkish league with players such as Mauro Icardi, Nicolo Zaniolo, Fernando Muslera, Dries Mertens and Victor Nelson among others, supported by Turkish representatives. As if that was not enough, also before the current season, some transfers were made that cannot be called offensive, but some interesting players were brought in, mainly with the defensive block in mind. One of them is the Spaniard Angelino (RB Leipzig - EUR 12 million), another is Kaan Aykan (Sassuolo - EUR 3.7 million), and DR Congo representative Christian Luyindama (Antalyaspor - EUR 800 thousand). The midfield line was also taken care of, to which two Romanians were added. Aleksandru Cicalolu (Ittihad FC - EUR 5m) and Olimpiu Morutan (Pisa - EUR 4.5m) are to help their teammates in the midfield.

Compared to the Turks, Austria W. looks very poor not only in terms of the current squad, but also in terms of players who came to the club mainly on loan or as free players without a transfer fee. There is no point in mentioning any of them because they are little known players.

Although the Austrians are closer to the league season, I will play in this clash at Galatasaray, being aware that there is still a month before the start of the league and the team's manager will not use all his top players, such as Zaniolo or Icardi, but the potential of players in the circuit is huge, including new acquisitions. As in friendly matches, I hope that both teams will score something, but at the end of the match Galatasaray will win.
