Frankly I think she will win this match but I want to get back to winning ways so chose the safer bet, as we still get a win if she loses 2-0 by a break and Tiebreak. If she wins a set we're probably in the clear. Sakkari owns the h2h 2-1 but they only met on Sakkari's preferred surface, hard. Begu has found success lately on clay and won her last 2 titles on it, while Sakkari didn't really impress me this tournament. Should mention that after years spent in Simona Halep's shadow, thanks to her results here in Madrid where she is yet to drop a set, Begu just became the highest rated romanian player which was covered in the press here. She's used to this tournament who used to belong to romanian tennis legend Tiriac (who sold it recently), but before that, it was the preferred tournament for romanians tennis players who used to receive alot of Wild cards. There's also a huge number of romanians in Spain so the public will definitely be with her and not Sakkari, who just eliminated a spaniard. She already made the QF here twice before this, (first time for Sakkari) and I expect her to give 110% for her first semifinal here.
