[Football- England 'Premier League'] 8.4/ 16:00 Aston Villa- Nottingham
Another handicap pick of the day reflects my expectation of a clear gap in the quality of in-form Aston Villa and relegation fodder Nottingham Forest.
Unai Emery's time in charge of Villa has started to reap results, with the team winning 4 of their last 5 league matches (D1), 3 of those wins to nil. The team also beat the -1.5 handicap twice in this run (3-0 against Bournemouth and 2-0 against Chelsea).
In contrast, Forest have been repeatedly done in by sloppy defending, conceding at least 2 goals in 4 of their last 5 league matches (D2 L3).
While Forest have scored in all these 5 matches, this run may finally come to an end away to a Villa side which has improved their defending, however temporary or permanent this improvement may be.
Forest's away form is even poorer, with 4 straight away losses, 3 of those 4 losses by 2+ goals.
Villa's key players are firing, with Watkins as clinical as he has ever been, Buendia pulling the strings from midfield, and even Tyrone Mings showing quality I did not think he had.
As such, I think this should be a fairly straight-forward Villa win by multiple goals.
