[Football- Europa League] 16.3/ 18:45 Feyenoord- Shaktar Donetsk
This is the second leg of their Europa League round-of-16 showdown with the first leg finishing all square at 1-1. Feyenoord now gets to host Shaktar Donetsk at Feyenoord Stadium where it is dominant to say the least. Feyenoord's last loss at home was in January... of 2022. Their fans haven't seen them lose in 14 months at home. This season in league play, they are 9-4-0.
As I said this is their second fixture so let us take a look at their first fixture which was in Warsaw (due to Shaktar Donetsk being a Ukranian club team). Feyenoord out-classed Donetsk in this away draw by handling 61% of the possession and putting up 21 shots (6 on target) to Shaktar's 5 shots with 1 on target. I believe we can expect more of the same but in front of Feyenoord's fans and I doubt Feyenoord is pulling any punches because they do not want to see this go to penalty kicks. Shaktar is fairly good at penalty kicks too since they beat Rennes on them last time. Prediction: 3-1
