[Football- England 'League One'] 14.2/ 20:45 Bolton- MK Dons
Bolton are currently sitting 4th on the League One table with a 16-8-7 record. They currently own one of the promotion playoff spots, but they’ve played some extra games compared to teams around them so they will need to continue to pick up points to assure a chance of promotion. They’ve been in hot form lately, winning 4 games straight. Their most recent game was a 5-0 demolition away at 9th placed Peterborough.
Bolton have also been particularly strong at home in recent weeks. They have gone 8 straight games in all competitions without conceding a goal in front of their home fans for 6 wins and two draws, but hopefully that defensive stability holds strong again and makes covering the line easier.
Their opponents, MK Dons, are sitting down in 20th with a 8-5-17 record. They have picked up a draw and win in their last two matches against average opposition to move just above the relegation zone, but should find the going much tougher against Bolton. MK Dons struggle offensively, averaging less than 1 goal per game, so this seems like a good spot for Bolton to cover the spread.
No major injury news for either team that I can find online, and Bolton will regain a striker following suspension which will hopefully help matters given both teams are coming off short turnarounds between games. The ML is $1.67 (at time of writing) which might appeal to some people but I am taking a chance at plus odds with the safety net of a push in case they only win by 1.
