[Football- England 'Premier League'] 28.12/ 21:00 Leeds United- Manchester City
First league game back for both teams after the World Cup break. Leeds United games usually feature lots of goals - they like to play attacking football but their defence is ordinary, so that usually means chances at both ends. Manchester City are capable of scoring for fun, with 40 goals this season easily the most in the Premier League courtesy of their many attacking weapons.
There are lots of betting options to choose from in a game where Man City are expected to win comfortably, but I like over 1.5 goals total in the first half. In 14 Premier League games this season, Leeds games have gone over the total in 9 games, and Manchester City games have gone over 10 times.
Personally I think Manchester City will come out firing and score two on their own in the first half to put this game to bed - a lot of their first team regulars played in the mid-week cup game against Liverpool to get some game time under their belt, and will be better for it as they look to close the gap to Arsenal at the top.
Leeds are expected to miss a number of regular first team players due to injury so Manchester City should be able to take advantage, but will take the game total instead of team total for some added safety. Given their injuries Leeds may come out and park the bus from the beginning to keep things close but Manchester City should be too good and find a way.
