[Football- International Friendlies] 16.11/ 13:00 Saudi Arabia- Croatia
Warm up match between two World Cup teams with Croatia taking on Saudi Arabia. This game is in Saudi Arabia so they will have the home crowd advantage, but I don’t think it will matter - Croatia’s class should be more than enough to get the win.
Saudi Arabia have played 9 international friendlies since June 2022, and have only managed 4 goals during those matches against largely mediocre opposition. On the flip side, they’ve only conceded 4 as well, so they are boring at both ends of the field!
Croatia haven’t played a game since their UEFA Nations League campaign finished in September, but they won 4 in a row against quality opposition in France (away), Denmark twice (home and away) and Austria (away).
There’s no guarantee right now who will take the field for Croatia, so there is a chance they will field some squad players and/or limit some of their stars to avoid injury, but still expecting they will want to put in a strong performance to set themselves up for World Cup success and their superior quality will be enough to get the win regardless of the team make up.
When you consider Saudi Arabia doesn’t concede many, are almost incapable of scoring, and Croatia will want to avoid injury and play it safe once they score, I don’t expect many goals.
