Going with a pick that can't possibly push today.... Odds on this have shifted quite heavily over the past few days, BTTS is going for as high as -170 currently, but I locked it in at -152 on Monday night. Another bet I like a lot in this one that might require less cheese is 1H over 1 goal.... This one is pretty straightforward in my opinion. Gent need a win to advance out of the group stages and Molde are in great offensive form, scoring a goal in each of their 11 matches in all competitions. In fact, the last time they were help scoreless was against this very same Gent side during match week 1 of this competition (0-0 draw). Much has changed since then though.... Both sides coming off pretty disappointing results during match week 5 and they'll be determined to prove they belong in the next phase of the competition. Gent drew away at Shamrock Rovers who are last in the group. A win would have put them level on points with Molde for 2nd place. Molde on the other hand blew a 2-0 home lead to group leaders, Djurgarden to lose 3-2. Many would argue that Molde has been in better form in this competition as well as domestically compared to Gent, but the books list Gent as the favorite at home. The price of -152 is worth it here. I expect an early goal and an open match between 2 sides that should be motivated to progress to the next round. Also just an interesting observation... Looking at all matches of the Conference League and the Europa League, I found 3 instances where there was a 0-0 draw between teams that were up against each other for the first time in group play... During the second group meeting between those same teams, each match has resulted in BTTS... not a trend or an angle, but something interesting and something that could follow suit with the result of this match.
