Cutting it close today with the match in just under two hours. The odds at -165 to -175 is just good enough for me to go with Pliskova. Vekic is 1-6 against her, and the last time she won was in 2012. I'm cool with betting that Pliskova will continue a decade long streak today. There's a bit of a recency bias that's playing into her not being a -220 favorite and I'm not really buying it. One is Pliskova had a horrible showing against #144 Alycia Parks in Ostrava, her home country. The other is Vekic beat Sakkari yesterday, who's ranked in the top 7. Sakkari's been terrible for a while now, and one match isn't going to dissuade me from a 6-1 record.

I'm betting Pliskova will be more driven after the awful showing at home, and she'll be confident with her solid H2H against Vekic.
