[Football- Denmark 'Superliga'] 1.8/ 19:00 FC Nordsjælland-Lyngby
Back to the Monday night game of the Superliga, local match in the northern suburbs of Copenhagen in Farum. Artificial grass, which suits the visitors of Lyngby fairly well too although they don't play on it at home. They've got lots of small technical players that enjoys the pace of this surface. Weather will be perfect: 18-22C and sunny. Heck, I might bike out there and watch the match live myself.
Nordsjælland have played well in the first two matches, sure. Looking at H2H's and stats, yeah they should win this one.. But no. Their first win was against Odense, a contender on my list to get relegated this season. They later went on to get absolutely smashed by Midtjylland 6-1 and looking awful. Likewise, they won away against Brøndby. Again, impressive - but is it? Brøndby lost to Silkeborg last night 2-0, granted they had a lot of chances but their tactics are failing them. So, Nordsjælland in my book got two wins that are good on paper, but value-wise, they didn't really warrant being this big favourites here.
I really liked the pace Lyngby brought on their first match against Silkeborg. Especially on the left wing, Adam Sørensen was a constant thread and surely will be on artificial grass here too. They were out-physiqued versus Horsens, as I expected, however this will not be the case here. Nordsjælland is a very technical and nimble team, much like Silkeborg - except they aren't as good, and have lost their best player in the transfer window.
Similar playstyles here which means a match that's gonna be pretty even. I don't rate Nordsjælland that much higher than Lyngby for them to warrant being 1.85 or so favourites here. It's a pretty open match and Lyngby will put the pace up in the first half. Good chance of them snatching at least a single point here.
