The second round of the Slovenian league. The hosts lost 3-0 against NK Radomlje (and at home) in the first round, while the guests won 2-0 against NK Bravo.
The hosts are playing in the Champions League qualifiers, on Wednesday they tied 0-0 with Sheriff Tiraspol, and on Tuesday they will leave for Moldova. Already in the previous round they had to deal with Szachcior Soligorsk, drawing 0-0 at home and winning the away match on neutral terrain in Turkey 2-0.
As you can see, Vijoličasti are not in top shape, they have problems with scoring goals, and they have a much more important away game in LM ahead of them, so I think that the visitors are able to surprise and take at least a point from the Ljudski vrt stadium.
Although the history of direct matches is definitely in favor of the hosts, it must be taken into account that the defeat in the first round with NK Radomlje was ... the first ever defeat of NK Maribor with this rival. ND Gorica, on the other hand, has already broken points from today's rival in the past, so taking into account the situation, I think that the newcomer is able to score at least a point.
