Both players have Grass as their worst surface but with their overall quality they should be able to win at least one set...Wawrinka is already past his prime at the age of 37 but he still has his amazing one handed backhand which is honestly one of the best shots that I've seen where he's able to generate so much power with his legs and redirect the direction of the ball really fast. He seems like a guy who plays with two forehands quite honestly and his career was really good especially due to the fact that he won the Australian Open in 2014, Roland Garros in 2015 and the US Open in 2016 while the big 3 were still on their prime time. He has a 32-32 career record on this surface but his experience is something that he can use in his favor against Sinner and on a 1st round like this his physical condition is not something to worry about
Sinner on the other hand is one of the most promising players on the circuit and is really complete but his physicality is a big concern and you never know when he can develop an injury. He has a 2-6 career record on this surface and this year he only played once on Grass losing to Tommy Paul. Hopefully he can develop his game on the green courts because he's an agressive baseliner who's able to generate power from both sides but his backhand can be considered his major weapon. I feel like in Grass he hesitates too much on the transition from defense to attack and when you waste your chances to finish a point you will be punished on the fastest surface on tour. The italian still hasn't showed me anything on Grass to be priced at 1.33 odds and I can see this match going to 4 or 5 sets with "Stan the Man" delivering a great show as he usually does on the first few rounds of a Slam...
Wawrinka should be the underdog here due to his age and there's no doubt about that but not with these type of odds. I feel like the Swiss can at least take one set and hopefully we'll have one of the best matches of this 1st Round of Wimbledon.
