Feliciano Lopez was once a great player on Grass with a really unique one handed backhand that was able to mess up with some of the greats while also having a great serve. Nowadays he is already 40 so playing tennis is almost secondary to him at this point, specially now that he became the director of ATP Madrid and I truly believe that this is going to be his last year playing professionally. The spaniard played 11 matches in 2022 and lost 10 of them which shows me that he's just enjoying tennis while he can

It was difficult to make any type of preview for Griekspoor on Grass before 2022 because he never played much on this surface before this current season but after some great performances I can see that this should be one of his best courts along with Hard courts

The dutch player is 4-2 on Grass this year and only lost to Felix Aliassime and Bautista Agut in really close matches. Those two players are really solid on the green courts so being able to almost beat them is something that I see as a positive thing

Now that I have some record on how Griekspoor plays on Grass I really expect him to beat an almost retired and out of form Lopez in straight sets specially with his serve, good groundstrokes from both sides and his ability to play at the net.
