[Tennis- ATP Houston] 6.4/ 17:00 G.Brouwer- J.Isner

A very interesting match of the second round of the ATP tournament in Houston on a clay surface, although it is worth knowing that this surface is very different from the standards and slightly resembles concrete. The Americans don't really hurt themselves, so they created a meal for themselves to make it relatively quick, which is why servicemen often found themselves in this tournament. It is the only such tournament on the tour that is played after the Sunshine Double. But let's move on to the heroes of this clash. Isner has lost his last four matches and is clearly approaching the end of his career. Of course, on concrete, especially in the hall, it still means a lot, but you can see that it loses a lot outside, which resulted in the failure of, among others, with Nava. On brick, it may look just as bad, but remember that the surface is quite hard and should not disturb the American so much. He seems to have the potential to serve his games, but I wouldn't expect him to break his opponent more than once either. Brouwer is a player who stormed into the ATP tournaments, although he plays both in the main series and in challengers. For now, it's on the border. Interestingly, the Dutchman was born in Houston and a year ago he was a revelation, passing the qualifications and dropping out only in the quarterfinals after an equal fight. It can be said that it is no coincidence that he achieves good results on these courts and knows them well. In the first round, he confidently beat the favored Kovacević and one can hope that he will also mess up in Isner and at least break off the set, especially since the rival is in quite a low form, which should be used. Since he has a child, the American has been more focused on the family and strongly selects starts, which suffers from the quality of his game, especially in exchanges, because he is still a strict top in terms of service. I'm counting on an even match, maybe even one or two tb.
