Middlesbrough have been great for the account balance in recent weeks so going to trust them again. They have won 7 of their last 9 league games, with each victory coming by 2 or more goals. Their most recent outing was a dominant 5-0 win against Reading as they look to secure at least a playoff spot, and put pressure on Sheffield United for the 2nd automatic promotion spot.
They travel to Swansea who are 2-2-5 in their last 9 league games, which includes going 0-1-3 in their last 4. They are sitting in 17th position and appear to be safe from relegation at this stage, but are in a bit of a downward spiral at the moment.
I am liking this bet because it is strong offence vs shit defence. Middlesbrough have scored the second most goals in the league (61), and a lot of those have come under Middlesbrough’s new manager who has implemented a very offensive game style. Swansea meanwhile have the 3rd worst defence in the league, conceding 52 goals in 35 games. Swansea are capable of finding some goals too, but with a healthy squad to choose from, I’m expecting Middlesbrough to score more against their flimsy defence.
Happy to take plus odds for Middlesbrough to win outright, time to get some green ticks on the board.
