Here we are again.. Sticking to my guns with Andrey Rublev.. clashed 5 times against this opponent and won thrice, latest being in straight sets, Indian Wells in the middle of March.. I expect him to dominate here as the heavy hitting Russian is in full stride from destroying Diego Schwartzsman in 17 games total on Sunday and is looking to gain some more easy glory on the hard court in this fine round of 16. Although this match should be a little tougher for Andrey than his last, I have no doubts. I could take this all the way up to under 24.5 games for 1.61 odds if I wanted to play it safe, but I’m feeling lucky and this pick seems good, I’m not worried, Rublev is going to have to almost blow a set for us to lose which I don’t see happening.
Rublev is known for driving the ball to the baseline deep with his sheer ability to handle himself AND his opponents with ease, it just makes sense to bet on the winning horse while he’s in his prime, it’s as simple as that. the absolute confidence this man has from wreaking havoc and winning the Gijon tournament a couple weeks ago is still there, and fuelling his fire to dominate this one, there is no better.. there is no luck here, all skill, and he is playing a lot similar to how he was when he got that title win. So yup I’m hammering the games under again. You can see it in his eyes and body language with his last match he’s not here to fuck around and is more than likely able to navigate himself into the finals
