I feel like defeating Vesely for someone like Tommy Paul is even easier than defeating Mannarino simply because Vesely only has a good 1st serve and not much else on his favor. He won against Fokina in 5 sets which should be crucial for his endurance on this match and I think Fokina was playing way worse than when he faced Hurkacz. This player is also in really bad shape so running around to return Paul's serve + forehand should be a difficult task for him...

Both players faced each other 3 times with Vesely winning in Wimbledon 2019 when Paul was way weaker and when Vesely was much better and less chubby and if you look at that match Vesely was priced at 1.53 at the time...

After that Paul beat him on Clay and this year in Melbourne on Hard so those recent wins for me count way more than their first meeting in 2019. I don't think Tommy will need to work a lot against this type of player because unlike Mannarino he won't be capable of staying in a rally for long periods of time. He can get some games and even a set with his serve but if Paul keeps his composure he should be able to win this in 3 or 4 sets.
