If you keep up with tennis, especially as a gambler, you know that fading Dominic Thiem has (unfortunately) been free money so far. Thiem is a former superstar who has come back from a serious wrist injury and sadly just doesn't look the same whatsoever. He's 0-4 since his return against worse competition than Fognini, so I think this line is quite a gift. It sucks, but wrist injuries can really fuck a tennis player for the rest of their career sometimes. He has an extremely weak forehand now and it's just really unfortunate to see. As a gambler, I just have to take advantage of this. Fognini is also at home in Rome, so the crowd will be there to give him an even bigger advantage. Fognini is 8-5 this year on clay and 3 of those losses are against Alcaraz, Rublev, and Tsitsipas, so I personally cut his record a little more slack. Going with the hometown boy here.
