[Football- England 'FA Cup'] 16.1/ 20:45 Birmingham- Hull

Since Wayne Rooney left Birmingham, the team have played against Hull in the FA Cup (away 1-1) and in the league against Swansea (home 2-2). Against the Welsh, Birmingham equalized in added time, but they fully deserved it (the Blues were clearly the better team in this match). In terms of play, the Blues look much better than the Championship table currently shows. Coach Tony Mowbray is waiting for his first victory with the Blues and will fight for it on Tuesday in the FA Cup replay. Central defender Marc Roberts is injured, but defensive midfielder Alfie Chang, central midfielder George Hall and defender Ethan Laird are back from injuries (for now on the bench).
LIam Rosenior and his Hull in the league recently suffered a home defeat against Norwich (1:2), which was the second in a row (previously, Sheffield Wed away 1:3). Thus, the "Tigers" dropped out of the top six in the table (play-offs for the Premier League and direct promotion), only confirming the fact that they are unrecognizable in the winter. These results are certainly nothing to be happy about, but despite the subsequent loss of points, Hull is only a point behind the top six teams in the rankings. On Saturday, an extremely difficult trip to Sunderland. Attacking midfielder Adama Traore and defensive midfielder Jean Michael Seri are taking part with their national teams (Mali and Côte d'Ivoire respectively) in AFCON. Moreover, in the last match against the Canaries, Irish striker Aaron Connolly was injured, joining another striker, Jaden Philogene, who has been recovering from an injury for a long time. Liam Rosenior will probably rotate the squad, giving more play to substitutes and January's "new acquisitions" (experienced striker Billy Sharp acquired from Los Angeles or Portuguese attacking midfielder Fabio Carvalho, loaned from Liverpool, who scored 90' in his debut against Norwich last week).
The priority for Birmingham is the very important spring round and, of course, staying in the Championship. But after the away draw with Hull (which is currently in quite a difficult situation), there is a great opportunity to show off in the third round of the FA Cup.
