Tottenham started the season on fire but after a disaster of a game against Chelsea they fell apart, injuries and suspensions to key players took their toll however they came out flying last week against Newcastle and recorded a 4-1 win. Even after their recent run of poor form they sit in 5th place with 30 points and a 9-3-4 record.
Nottingham Forest have now only won 1 of their last 12 games and lost 4 of their last 5 before ending that streak with a 1-1 draw with Wolves last week. Forest have been pretty difficult to beat at home since returning to the top division however they have had back to back losses at home to Brighton and Everton in recent weeks. In their current 5 game winless run they have shipped 13 goals and only scored 5.
Tottenham have a pretty strong away record this season with 15 points from 8 games and they have a habit of starting games strong, they've scored the opening goal in 10 consecutive games in the league now but during their poor run of form they were unable to see out the results. I don't see a Forest team missing their main man in Awoniyi being able to keep up with a Spurs side that score over 2 goals per game. With Awoniyi missing they only have 2 players that have scored more than 1 goal in the league this season.
I think the most likely result for me here is 2-1/3-1 to Tottenham.
