Not much to say here. Ruud has been on his best tennis for the year in the recent weeks. He's hoping to get to a 5th consecutive Quarterfinal on clay and be primed for the French Open. Lets hope the rest from Rome was good for him.

Sandgren has been moosecock this year, hard court player with 1-4 record on clay in 2021. He has had his moments though as he plays super aggressive and uses his power well. But his best results are on Hard courts. Ruud should be able to counter anything that is thrown at him on clay.
