Cuevas has already played 2 matches to qualify while Opelka has 3 days rest after losing to Nadal in the semifinals at Rome. Cuevas is 35 this year and his recovery time is not as quick as someone under 30. Through 5 matches last week, Opelka had 88 aces and had 80% win percentage on first serve versus credible opponents in Musetti, Karatsev, Delbonis and Nadal. Geneva appears to be at the same court speed as Madrid but a bit lower in elevation.
