Boston has won 6 of 7 and appear to finally by finding their footing. They are currently on a three game west coast road swing and have already beaten both the Blazers and Nuggets.
The Lakers will be happy to be home after being on a seven game road stretch themselves. They've been performing admirably without LBJ and AD winning 4 of those 7 games. They also still have the top rated defense in the league despite being without their two superstar cornerstones for quite some time.
Nevertheless, I just think Boston's momentum and talent differential will be too much for them in this one. There's also the fact, that because it's the Lakers, Boston should be extra motivated here to show everyone on the national stage that this team is for real. Jayson Tatum has been great recently after admitting he was struggling with his breathing and his Covid diagnosis. In his last three games, all Boston wins, he's scoring just under 38 points a game while getting to the line 34 times and shooting 12-24 from the arc. Unfortunately, for Boston Kemba Walker is still not shooting the ball very well. But, Jaylen Brown is taking up the slack by shooting over 43 percent from deep in April. Another pretty favorable stat for the Cs is Boston is 9-2 when Robert Williams is in the starting lineup.
I would be very surprised if Boston doesn't win this game by at least eight points.
