[Boxing - Japan] 31.12/ 10:00 D.Higa- Y.Kobayashi

I really like the pick for tomorrow's (morning) New Years Gala in Japan - I don't understand why Yuki Kobayashi is being played as such a big underdog. He is a boxer much better than his record (16 wins - 8 defeats), which has developed in recent years and has lost only one fight in the last 7 fights, and very slightly, on points with the very good boxer Keita Kurihara. This fight is a very good reference to tomorrow's - Daigo Higa, the bookmakers' favorite, has a record of 16 wins and one draw and one defeat. But for those 16 wins ... all of them are ahead of schedule. Only that Daiago is also verified - he tied the last fight (in my opinion he lost) and earlier he also lost ahead of time (in April 2018 and then he did not fight until 22 months!). The key is to look at these 16 wins ahead of time - aside from the class of most knocked out rivals, Higa fought in the lower weight class and has now moved to the higher one so his punch power should now be less felt. I mentioned Keit Kurihara because he is a boxer who beats very strongly with great physical conditions - with him Kobayashi lost slightly, over the full distance of 12 rounds (by the way, these 12 rounds also matter because Kobayashi has almost 2x more rounds spent in the ring, so the experience at a longer distance is on his side). Does Higa beat stronger than Kurihara? I sincerely doubt that Higa is relatively small, 161 cm tall and Kobayashi is a few cm taller (and Kurihara was 172 cm) - the physical strengths will be on his side. So it seems likely that Higa will be attacking the initial rounds and then Kobayashi will come to the fore and he may win this fight. For me it is at least equal chances, Good luck and all the best for the New Year!
