A very unexpected line-up for Saturday's final - after the elimination of the next favorites, the final will feature the 31st seed Barbora Krejcikowa against the tournament seventh seed Jasmine Paolini. The Italian performed brilliantly in this year's French Open, where she lost to Iga Świątek in the final, and she continues her excellent form in the Wimbledon tournament. Paolini had previously benefited quite happily from Keys' injury, and in yesterday's semi-final she was able to take advantage of all the weak points and nervous play of Donna Vekić. Krejcikova's final is probably an even bigger surprise - in the last three rounds she won matches in which she was not the favorite: with Collins, Ostapenko and Rybakina. The Czech won the doubles tournament at Wimbledon in 2022 with Siniakova, and now she has a huge chance to do the same in singles.
