[Football- England 'League One'] 16.4/ 20:45 Port Vale- Wycombe
Port Vale has barely won a point in the last four matches and is in the last relegation place in the table. The away defeat against Peterborough 0:3 was not even close to a point, but the home defeat against Exeter (2:4) was. In this match, "The Valiants" were leading 2-0 at halftime, but the disastrous second half deprived them of even a point. The 17-year-old striker (England U17) Baylee Dipepy showed a good performance and it is him that the home fans are counting on the most at the end of the season. Port Vale should not be involved in the relegation battle, but......... you have to "chase reality".
Wycombe, after three winless games, broke its away weakness with a 2-0 win over Shrewsbury. However, the chances for the play-offs are gone, maintaining the middle of the table is certain, and the season has to be finished. And a pretty good one by "The Chairboys."
Port Vale is "against the wall" and they have to fight to stay alive until the last game of the season. Leaving the relegation zone in the last three rounds of the competition is, however, possible (the loss to "safe ground" in the table is three points). But it is absolutely necessary to win the last two home games (Wycombe and Cambridge Utd), because in the away game against "Klusaki", fighting for direct promotion, it will be extremely difficult to even get a point. The experienced Jamaican coach, Darren Moore, is probably aware of this and must today motivate his people to beat Wycombe at all costs.
The guests have a better team, but in Staffordshire the motivation to play is very high.
For victory Port Vale on Stoke-on-Trent!
