[Football- Germany 'Bundesliga] 15.3/ 20:30 FC Koln- RB Leipzig
After five consecutive seasons in the highest division, Koln is now in a qualifying position this season, 7 points up to safe ground, and Mainz is chasing from behind which is 2 points behind.
Koln drew 3-3 away to Monchengladbach last time out, but in terms of play it didn't look much better than before imo, Gladbach had 2.55 XG against Koln’s 0.92, so I’d rather say that Gladbach let it slip rather than Koln deserving the draw. Koln are also on a five game winless streak and have won just one of their last 12 matches. They have lost three of their last four home matches
Koln has a tough time in terms of injuries and suspension ahead of this game. Justin Dieh, Luca Waldschmidt, Mark Uth, Jan Thielmann and Timo Hübers will all miss this game.
Leipzig are 5th in the league and just one point behind Dortmund in the fight for the last Champions League league position. The form is quite good, they nearly got a result against giants Real Madrid in the CL knockout round but lost 2-1. After that game they easily won over Darmstadt with 2-0, they really need to win this game against another bottom side to have a chance for that so important Champions League ticket for next season.
The squad situation is very good for Leipzig, only Klostermann who has been out for a while already & maybe Poulsen who hasn’t played much at all this season will potentially miss this game.
Away games in its honour, but overall I think Leipzig will get this one, as they should looking at the difference in quality and the season they’ve had so far comparing to their opponents. Another pick I like is Leipzig -1 Asian, meaning that if Leipzig wins with more than 1 goal the bet wins, should they only win with a 1 goal margin, it’s a push and you get your money back. But I’m going “safer”.
