Today I am going for Bayer Leverkusen to win with a -1 asian handicap against Augsburg. This means that IF Leverkusen wins with a 1-goal difference, the bet will be pushed and your money will be returned. We will need to win with a two-goal difference to win this bet. Leverkusen is top of the standings with a record of 13-3-0 while Augsburg is 11th in the standings with a record of 4-6-6. I need to mention that Leverkusen has only drawn this season against Bayer Münich, Borussia Dortmund, and Stuttgart. These teams are 2nd, 3rd, and 5th in the standings. Next to that, Leverkusen won all of their games in the European League. They play incredible football with their head coach Xabi Alonso, who is a former Liverpool, Bayern Münich and Real Madrid player. It seems like he created a machine of a team that will get far this season.
The only concern I had for this bet was the fact that the top scorer of Leverkusen, Boniface is injured. Next to that is Leverkusen missing three players due to the Africa Cup. My concern was removed when I saw that Leverkusen already played against Bochum before the winter break without all of these players. They managed to win 4-0 at home.
I could go deep into analyzing Augsburg, they're strong at home and seem to draw a lot at home but I don't see them standing a chance against Leverkusen. For that reason, my bet of Leverkusen to win -1 Asian Handicap @ 1.79.
