[Football- England 'Championship'] 29.12/ 20:45 Ipswich Town- QPR
Big slate of games today in England and some very nice betting opportunities. Among 5 games that really stood out to me I went for Ipswich. I think they are slightly undervalued here because they have not won in their previous 3 games (2 draws and 1 loss). We do have to put those 3 games into context: they played against Norwich, Leeds and Leicester. Which are strong teams in this league (I would safely say Leeds and Leicester are the two strongest teams). At home Ipswich have been stellar. In 12 home games they won 9, draw 2 and lost only once. They scored 33 goals and conceded 22. They have an xGD/90 of +1.08, the second highest in the league. The only notable abentee they have is George Hirst, who has 12 goals/assists so far this season for Ipswich.
Their opponents QPR in a very different spot. They lost their previous 3 games. Most notable is their loss against Sheffield Wednesday, who are horrible themselves. Their record on the road is not good. in 13 road games they only won 3 times, draw 2 times and lost 8 times. They scored 10 and conceded 18. They have a -0.63 xGD/90 on the road.
After a though schedule I see this as the perfect game for Ipswich to get back on track. They are only 6 points behind league leaders Leicester, but also only 5 points clear of third place Southampton. A game against QPR is a must win game.
