[Football- England 'Championship'] 21.10/ 16:00 Huddersfield- QPR
Huddersfield is/was considered a bit of a fortress, it is very hard to go and win there and normally only the years promotion contenders will get wins there (A brilliant Leicester and Norwich so far this season). Traditionally Huddersfield depend on their home form being the bulk of their annual points haul. Huddersfield have a superb record against the London club QPR - losing only once in the last eleven encounters.
QPR are a club in a bit of disarray, destined for a year of mediocrity at best - and will need to turn around to even achieve that - they are currently in the relegation places and it's a bit jarring seeing QPR in this position. Their form away from home is better than at home. Wins have come at Cardiff (forever forgetting that a match lasts 90 minutes) and Middlesbrough - who were their last 3 points on 2nd Sept. QPRs last match was a 4-0 battering at home by a mediocre Blackburn
This fixture last year ended 1-1 and QPR were in a better place at the time. QPR have let 30 players leave during the Summer and only bringing in 9. Were they cutting the wage bill or streamlining? Who knows - I'm not sure they know having started with at least 6 different formations this year so far. They have certainly limited their options over the season and are doing a lot of experiementing.
The John Smiths Stadium and the fixture record are the factors here, Huddersfield will look at this fixture as a potential three points and so should we.
