[Football- Europa League] 5.10/ 18:45 Marseille- Brighton
Marseille hosts Brighton in the Europa League which should be an interesting matchup, hopefully filled with goals!
Marseille have had a rough start, winning just two of their ten last games. Although they've been in rough form, this has often involved a number of goals. Looking back at their last seven games across all competitions, there have been at least 4 goals in four out of the last seven games. They tend to play an attacking style that yields goals but often leads to conceding a number of goals. In just the last three games, they have conceded 10 goals! With their combined talent in attack but leaky defense, their games often yield some goals galore.
Brighton looks sharp this season but still demonstrates some inconsistencies with their wins and losses. Although the point tally is difficult to predict with them, one thing that has been simple is goals. De Zerbi's side is filled with attacking talent and even with players like Estupinan injured, I'm sure they'll find some 17-year-old wonder kid from South America to make up for it. Eight of Brighton's last nine matches have featured at least four goals and the only exception was a game against Chelsea, the void that doesn't allow goals.
With Brighton filled with talent, I expect them to get at least a couple of goals on the day. I won't be doing BTTS as I am concerned this could turn into a lopsided affair for the visitors so just keeping it on the over keeps it simple and means we just want to see goals. Let's hope for a goal-filled thriller!
