Ok so that last pick is a weird one… Feyenoord dominate the first half, up 3-0 and the bet looks like its gonna win easily, and then Ajax fans start going apeshit second half and they have to cancel the rest of the match while the Ajax ultras tear apart their own stadium. The Dutch suck. I use Unibet and so far the bet isn’t void, and it’s possible they count it as a win if they finish the rest of the match at one point. Worst case it’s a void for now, but if they count it later as a win I’ll update my record.
Monday is not amazing for soccer but I’ve gone with this bet in the Portuguese league. Sporting sit third in the league and have looked pretty good, winning 4 of their last 5 in all competitions, including a recent 2-1 win over Sturm Graz in Austria. They have 31 wins out of 49 against Rio, with their most recent meeting being in February of this year, where they won 1-0 away from home. I’m expecting them to again put up a few goals here at home with their quality in attack.
Rio Ave finished 14th last season and have been underwhelming so far again this year. They have been especially poor away from home, with a six game winless run. They are also having trouble scoring goals, their last match ended 1-1 but they grabbed their goal from an own goal, and so far they have only put up 5 goals in 5 games. Not terrible all things considered for a weaker team, but Sporting should have a much stronger defense and should be able to keep a clean sheet.
I may add some more to this but I have this for now. I’m expecting a relatively close game but should be comfortable enough for Sporting in front of their home fans. I’ll say 2–0 to the hosts.
